Recently FCSAR had 4 team members complete the Rope Rescue Operations course given by Madison Co. SAR. This accomplishment elevates our team to 10 Rope Rescue members. This course involves very intense training, requiring the students to understand and perform technical rope engineering with a safety factor of at least 10.
When the students earn the Rope Rescue Ops certification, they can attach that certification to the MCSAR Swift Water Rescue Operations certification and that increases them to a Swift Water Rescue Technician certification.
MCSAR has been teaching Rope Rescue Operations for many years and has earned high rankings as one of the most challenging certifications to achieve. They teach most of the NW Arkansas fire departments and have been asked to teach countless cave rescue teams.
To achieve the MCSAR Rope Rescue Operations certificate is a great accomplishment and all of Franklin County Search and Rescue congratulates: David Elms, Michael French, Leon Hall and Josh Levin.
