The Branch Fire Department will be hosting an Arkansas Forestry Division Wildland Firefighter class on Saturday, September 19th from 08:00 to 17:00 hours. Location for the class is 22 N. Jones St. in Branch. Call 479-965-3174 to reserve a seat. Per AFD do NOT bring along minor children to the class.
Please note: This course does not qualify participants as certified wildland firefighters, but it provides essential background and context for working alongside Forestry Division crews.
To receive a certificate of completion for the introductory wildland firefighting class, participants must:
- Attend the entire course
- Complete and pass an end-of-course test
- Demonstrate understanding of course materials
